The DSL Reds

Juan Duran isn't the only prospect down playing for the DSL Reds.

Miguel Chacoa-19 year old OF. After batting .349/.443./.422/.865 for the VSL Reds/Rays, through 11 games this year in the DSL he is batting .323/.432/.387/.820 with a 2:5 KBB ratio.

Jonathan Correa-17-year old in his first pro season, RHP, 4 GS, 1.19 ERA, 20:8 KBB ratio, .215 Opponent BA.

Juan Aquino- 20YO RHP. After a 8-3 season with a 2.76 ERA and a 62:12 KBB, and a .185 Opponent BA with the DSL Reds, he is back there and through 3 games, he has a 1.29 ERA, a crazy 21:2 KBB, and a 2.80 GO/AO ratio.

Add Juan Duran and in the GCL Efrain Contreras and I'd say our DR scouts are doing a pretty good job. Aquino really excites me.

One guy that has me intrigued is Alexander Candelario. He just turned 17 last week, has 12 walks, 11 strikeouts, 4 doubles and 3 HR already in 15 games. He is hitting just .217 but his OBP is .393 and he is slugging .500.

I wonder if the shared players are "lower-tier"..... I am so very Anglo..... it's hard to keep track of all the latin names until something jumps out about them so they "stick"
