He actually began his rehab three days ago with the GCL Reds and threw 3.2 innings of scoreless ball while allowing four hits and striking out three with no walks.

I hope Livingston can make it back. He seemed to have the mental toughness to pitch at this level. I see him as the "sixth starter" in the bullpen that Davey Johnson used to talk about--a long man who can pitch multiple innings out of the pen (his good bat is a plus in that role, as he wouldn't need to be removed for a pinch-hitter early), occasionally make a spot start, and even fill the traditional lefty reliever role later in the game.
