The GCL Reds are losing 4-2 after four innings. They're actually updating the GCL scoreboard today.

    Puckett: 1-1 walk
    Pfister: 1-1 double
    Conner: 0-1 walk
    Lutz: 0-1 walk

Juan Francisco belts his 11th homerun of the year to give Sarasota a 1-0 lead after two innings.

Kyle Lotkzar is the starter for Dayton today. Hopefully he can build on that good start last time out.

Stubbs walked and then stole 2nd and 3rd base. He's now up to 25 stolen bases on the season.

Big start for Travis Wood. Our 21 year old LHS (do people not realize he is that young still?) has really struggled in AA, especially with his control (28 ip, 18 bb). I'm encouraged by his 29 k's though. Wood's previous start was against Jacksonville (who he is facing today) and went 5 ip, 5 h, 5 er, 6 bb, 5 k.

Wood has plenty of time to get it together. Don't see this as a particularly big start although obviously am rooting for him.

Now, Maloney tonight has a big start. After scuffling this season he had a great outing last time. He needs to keep it up. At July 31 Reds may have an opening if they trade Arroyo and, if he shows something at AAA, Maloney could get the call.
