    No doubt.

Having someone whispering "be really agressive at the plate" in his ear can't help.

I just hope Dusty/Jacoby et al haven't tried to "improve" his approach at the plate. Dunner has had nothing but "just do this" over the years, no need to "improve" Bruce either.

Edinson K's. 3 down. Hmmm...that was a bit too quick for my tastes.

Simply put, Duke is NOT this good. The Reds need to get some sort of consistancy on offense pretty soon or Jocketty is going to turn into "trader" Walt.

~and by "consistancy" I mean in the GOOD way.

Isn't everyone a funk on this team? Five (count 'em) hits through five. Nothing changes for this team. We need intelligent hitters who can also hit leftys.

Unfortunately, I think they are. During last night's broadcast they were saying how Jacoby was working with Bruce to stop being so upright as he swings his bat through the ball (or something to that effect). I shuddered at the thought.

    Oh God.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse.

Good God. Where in the hell was that 1-2 pitch to Bay? Even Bay walked back toward the dugout as he thought it was strike three.

    Unreal.

That 1-2 pitch was perfect but called a ball.

Come on ump, even Bay thought that was strike 3 (Gameday said it was strike 3 as well).

Good lord. This ump's zone is pitiful!

Bay walks. Ridiculous everyone but the ump knows that was a strikeout.

Walk. No way in the world that should've been a walk. NONE.

    And of course Bay walks.

Chalk that walk up to a horrible umpire. Unbelievable. Volquez threw two clear strikes to Bay in that atbat and both were called balls. You know you're an awful umpire when even the batter thought it was strike 3.

The first and fourth pitches were BOTH strikes. Horrible.
