That's what I'm wondering. He was in great position so he saw the play from a good angle. How you watch a guy get tagged and call him safe is beyond me.

Lincoln coming in. This inning is just sickening. There should not be one run scored but so far 2 and still a runner in scoring position.
EE must have called the ump something really bad to get booted that quick.
Thats two runs this inning as Bay should have been sitting on the bench after striking out looking.
This bad inning isn't on Volquez. Not at all. That inning should have never happened. Bay was clearly struckout, even he thought so.
If the ump understood him then god bless that ump's ears.
