Updated Parking Advice Sought. . .

Okay, I've read the old threads regarding parking, but haven't found a good solution yet.
We are coming to a Reds game this weekend, but staying in Mason, OH to visit some theme parks etc. We will be driving from Mason to the game on Sat. evening and are curious whether:
    1) it would be easier to cross back over into KY and park in Newport or Covington and take the TANK shuttle to the game
    or
    2) just stay on the Cincy side and find parking close to the ballpark

All parking options/advice will be appreciated!

    Thanks,
    ---RedRoser

I usually park in the parking garage closest to the Roebling bridge (just to the west of the bridge on KY side). It's $5 to park there and I usually don't get too much traffic after games. I just walk across the bridge and right over to the ball park. It sure beats paying $10 to park between the stadiums and sit in traffic after.

I usually park in the Chemed garage on Main. It's 2 block from the ball park and has pretty easy access to 5th which leads out to 71, 471, Columbia Parkway. it's $7, but it's close and is not too too bad getting out.

Thanks everyone for the advice! Still undecided as to which option we'll pursue, but at least we have some good choices now! And, I'm gonna look SWEET in that Griffey Camo Jersey!!!

Third Street and downtown street parkiing is free on Sunday, and Saturday, I think.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

I usually park at the Frisch's in Newport. It is right next to where the Tank buses turn around. Never had a problem there.

Weeknights and Saturdays after 5 are free, IIRC.

    Bump.

Anyone park at the Newport Aquarium and know of the cost and how decent of a walk it is (traffic, etc.)? Thinking about parking there and taking the kids to the aquarium after the game. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I parked for $2 in Newport last night, a few blocks up from the Aquarium and the bridge to walk across to the ballpark. I highly recommend Newport for the nice walk across the river and only paying a few bucks to park.
