    I agree he's not cheap. He is just incapable of making good baseball-related decisions.

    I prefer Mike Brown as an owner, frankly. soP is cheap, but at least he is rational. If he could win without spending more money, he would. Castellini on the other hand is the type of owner who shells out MORE money for one of the worst managers in the game.

    Baseball America revealed today that the Reds spent $5,705,000 this year in Latin America on six-figure signing bonuses for prospects, by far the highest total in baseball. The A's were second at $4.88 million spent. It's refreshing to finally have an owner who is willing to spend money in order to improve the organization. I'm hoping Cast makes this a tradition of opening the pocket book and signing top prospects from Latin America.

    The Reds handed out two of the top ten highest signing bonuses ever this year when they gave Juan Duran (Dominican Republic) $2 million and Yorman Rodriguez (Venezuela) $2.5 million.
