    Jose Guillen To The Royals

I read on the St. Louis board that the Royals have signed Jose Guillen to a 3 year, $36M contract.

Suddenly that $11.5M we gave to Cordero doen't look so bad.

The Reds and the Royals spending money on FAs. The money is flowing in MLB, no doubt about that. The next thing you know, the Pirates are going to show up with their checkbooks open.

For some reason I just can't get enough jokes about Guillen's clubhouse temper tantrums.

...and sign Matt Morris to a 4-year, $40 million extension, or some similar, boneheaded move.

Don't imagine Huntington will do that. But I could be wrong.

Not defending him or the signing, but the last two parks he called home were RFK and Safeco. Not exactly hitter friendly. Last year, .847 on the road, in 2005 it was .942. I believe he was injured most of 2006.

I don't know if the park factor for KC.

True, but hey... wasn't he on roids too?

Apparently that didn't matter to the Royals. Also his physique might be to the point that he no longer needs them.

Again, not defending the signing, but with his splits, I can understand it.

If Jose gets $36 million for three years in his 30's with all his baggage plus the steroid thing, what is Dunn worth?
