Arroyo is awful. Fontenot homers.
Arroyo is awful. Fontenot homers.
I would knock Zambrano down just to make a point.
Fontenot proves this Cubs team may just be destined for something more than normal. Gnats like him shouldn't be homering.
Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

I wouldn't fool around too much with Arroyo today. A quick hook would work for me.
Arroyo is due up 2nd this inning.
Ross homers to right. 9-5 Reds.
Ross should start more, if for no other reason to showcase him to other teams.
4 Reds home runs and it is just the 5th inning. This is a classic wind blowing out game at Wrigley.
This is amongst the slowest games I've ever watched.
2 on and 2 out for the Cubs in the 5th. Arroyo is at 100 pitches.
Dusty's Dice says let him pitch to Edmonds. I hope they are right.
On a day when 3 Cubs pitchers have given up 9 runs, I'll take Arroyo's performance.
Also, I'm glad I learned that WGN is running Alf reruns!
Edmonds grounds out to end the inning. 9-5 Reds after 5. That should be the end for Arroyo today.
