    He was taken out immediately after hitting a batter. Its possible he was ejected.

    Yeah, I wondered about that, but A.) no one else was hit by any pitchers, so I have no idea what he'd be retaliating about, and B.) the bases were already loaded.

    I guess it was just a matter of recognizing that Vazquez's control was lost, and they wanted to stop the bleeding early.
