That's 3-4 MPH then it was when he was up here the first time.

Votto could use a day off...and CC owns lefties. :O) Yes, I know that Joey hits lefties very well, but I don't have a problem with Andy getting a spot start. If we're going to win versus CC...it's in a low scoring game. That means we need the D and the ability to play small ball. Votto, Junior & Bruce are all bunting liabilities too. All in all, I kinda like this lineup in this situation. Besides, once we get into their bullpen, look at our pinchhitters available. Nice.
I guess I just don't understand the theory of resting people when you got three days off coming up. Oh well,I hope it works out and you are right the Brewers bullpen isn't very good and we got some good PH's today.

Wow. Hairston catches a blooper on a full speed dive. Junior would've come up 10 feet short. Great play.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Phillips fields a grounder up the middle thanks to good positioning. End of 1, 0-0.

Your home plate ump today is Bob Davidson, who averages 12.1Ks per game, 6.5 BBs per game, for a 1.9 K/BB ratio. Teams score 8.21 runs per game when Davidson is behind the plate: he is more of a pitcher's ump.
