    Francisco Liriano frustrated

    http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8...13162&ATT=3498

Would the Twins listen to offers on him now? Would you trade Dunn and Bailey for Liriano? Would that deal make sense for both sides?

I doubt they'd trade him. He will come up and replace Hernandez when they've had enough of him and his 5.5 era.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

They could have all the Stubbs and Bailey they never wanted for him.

Add in a Travis Wood, and maybe even a Chris Vailaka.

Except for the fact Mr. Liriano is a tad injury prone....

Besides that, I'd offer those 4 for his services.

No offense there Highlife but if deals far to many internet board jockeys would have done here. We would not have Jay Bruce or Cueto etc instead we would have high priced Erik Bedard and Joe Blanton who just was traded for single a so so dudes and a double a Dude who at best is a maybe guy. I have tons of faith in Billy Beane but his magic effect may have run out.

A win now recipe for the red's is not way to build a mid market team. In end I rather the time the Red's compete spans many years versus the odd run at getting into playoffs.
    2006 Redzone mock Draftee's- 1(st) Daniel Bard(redsox), 1(st sup)( Jordan Walden (Angels), 2(nd) rd.- Zach Britton(Orioles), 3(rd) Blair Erickson(Cardinals), 3(rd) Tim Norton( Yankees),(cuz its a Tim Hortons thing

No offense Topcat, but I read your post a couple times, and couldn't find the point you were trying to make.

You wouldn't go after Liriano, or if you would, whom would you trade?

I can't believe I am typing this but we are pretty much set for starting pitching for a few years. This team needs a catcher and some pop. The pitching will get better as pitchers mature. I don't know how anyone can look at our rotation and not feel a bit excited for the future of this team.

I wouldn't trade Homer Bailey straight up for Francisco Liriano. I have absolutely no faith in his ability to stay healthy.

You can never have enough starting pitching.
