He's trying to "walk his way off the island". I hope he wears floaties.

Sounds like theyre pitching around Duran and he's showing good sound plate discipline. Also good to see Soto with a SB, if theyre gonna move him around the infield I'd like to see him play some OF as well. Anyone else feel like I do about Cozart, I think he's back on the radar as far as a legit prospect, the few games Ive seen of the Dragons he's hit nothing but shots all over and 11 HRs is legit power in 5th3rd.

Absolutely. An excellent defensive SS with a little pop has a chance.

Buccholz got pulled early from the game last night in Billings....wonder if it was a result of the HBP, the blowout, or (maybe?) he's moving up to Dayton....?

    He's hitting .366/.453/.610/1.062 in 82 at bats with 9 double, a triple, and 3 HR....11 BB/18 K

He has crushed Pioneer league pitching so far like Valaika did out of college....
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

I'll tell you this much: Next year if the Reds need a young SS to come up and fill in, it won't be Paul Janish. Chris Valaika will already be with the team IMO and if the Reds need someone to come up from minors, it will be Zach Cozart, not Janish.

If they're trying to win next season, I'm not sure that they'll be willing to tolerate all of those errors at SS.

Sure, until you look at how bad their combined range is and then you go 'oh.... maybe thats why they don't have many errors, they can't get to crap'.

errors are errors if the balls they do get to theyre able to handle them, they could easily do what EdE is doing which is launching balls everywhere.

Actually Cozart is very solid defensively. Not sure where you got confused there.
