NY announcers say that Barry Zito. Arroyo and Maine are the top three pitchers in pitches per inning--Arroyo's second at 18.4 and Zito at 18.7. Maine slightly below that.

    Another outstanding catch by Phillips.

EE and Votto's OBP that low in the order, behind Phillips and ahead of Votto in particular, really makes me sad.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

3 up 3 down in the second for Bronson. No score heading to the bottom of the second.

Strike called against Dunn that was literally a foot outside. Going to a quick, low scoring game if that keeps up.

Now that bugs the heck out of me. 2-0 count on EdE and he swings at a fastball on the outside part of the plate and pulls a groundball to SS. Way too often does this team take weak swings on 2-0 pitches.

Tatis singles but Dunn throws him out trying to turn it into a double.

Schneider grounded out and Maine struckout. Arroyo has faced the minimum through three innings.

Bako with some bad luck as he hits one up the middle that hits the pitchers foot, goes to 2B and he is thrown out at 1st.

the best part about the home run is that it got george to actually talk about what was happening in the game for 20 seconds instead of non stop jibberish
