    Maddux

I'm really surprised some team has traded for Maddux as a 4th or 5th starter. He has had 17 quality starts (given up 3 or less runs) out of 22 starts. His overall numbers are better than most 4th or 5th starters in the league.

Anyone know how much he is being paid this year? That might be the issue. The Padres don't need him, that's for sure.

Really surprised he hasn't been moved yet.

I am sure he has a no-trade and simply may not want to move at this point in his life. I bet he'd go to Atlanta if they were interested. Problem is, ATL does not appear to be a serious buyer this year.

I expect he'll be a Cub or Dodger by the end of the year.

<sarcasm> Teams are probably shying away from him because he has forgotten how to win. Only 3 wins this year! Obviously he has lost it. </end sarcasm>

The rumor mill says that he only wants to go to a few specific teams, mainly west coast. He was interested in going to Milwaukee before they got Sabathia.

I suspect he'll end up in LA yet.

I've also heard he wants to stay on the West Coast. With his salary I bet he stays in San Diego, but it might get interesting...
