    Matt Klinker promoted to Sarasota

    Dragons tales

    • Even though Horst came out of the bullpen, he's going back in the starting rotation beginning Wednesday in Burlington. Starter Matt Klinker of West Chester Twp. was promoted to high Class A Sarasota (Fla.), although the move isn't official yet. Klinker, 6-4 with a 3.26 ERA and three straight victories before a no-decision Friday (seven innings, one earned run, six strikeouts, no walks) left Saturday but won't be placed on the Sarasota roster until Monday, when Alexander Smit joins the Dutch Olympic team.

The Reds have not yet decided who will take Klinker's spot on the roster.

Good news for a fellow Lakota alumnus. He pitched 6.2 innings of shutout ball in his debut for Sarasota, too- beating Dontrelle Willis (pitching for Lakeland).
