Wayne will be remembered as fondly as DanO before it's all over.

Oh great, another bash Wayne Krivsky post. Cool. It's not like we have enough of those.

Arroyo was drawing interest but Jocketty pulled him off the market, not Wayne.
    I miss Adam Dunn.

Arroyo was one strike away from having a 1-2-3 inning and then lost it and turned it into a four run inning.
    I miss Adam Dunn.

Because no one was going to give them anything in return. The pulling him off the market is simply a reflection of that fact. They'd still trade him, but no one wants the contract or the player.

The Rockies and Yankees expressed interest as did the Phillies.

Sure, they'd trade for him if the Reds would pick up a big chunk of the contract.

Wayne Krivsky is manifestly a worse GM than Dan O'Brien and it's not even close.

Arroyo has a lot more interest without the needless extension.

Good Lord. What a ridiculous statement. Krivsky brought plenty of talent to this organization.

The time to trade Arroyo was after the 2006 season. Unfortunately, at that point the Reds were so pitching-starved that they saw Arroyo as a long-term solution as a member of the team rather than as a commodity who should have been moved for a haul of prospects in order to enable a very necessary talent churn.

In short, it's an incredibly low bar.

    Best play of the game.
