Some things to look for tonight:
Newly acquired infielder Danny Richar has been assigned to the Louisville roster and will most likely make his Reds organization debut tonight.
Billings catcher Kyle Day (.361/.473/.557 - 1.030) has reach base in all 17 games of his professional career.
Chris Dickerson has a 13-game hitting streak and 11 extra base hits during that streak (4 doubles, 2 triples, 5 homeruns).
Neftali Soto has 10 hits in his last four games.
Devin Mesoraco has a 8-game hitting streak including three homeruns during that span. He has also doubled in three straight games entering tonight.
We really need some more top arms in the organization. Outside of Lotzkar, Thompson, Maloney(not really a top arm in my book), it gets kinda shaky. It is now the one place where I see an organizational weakness. We have got plenty of relief depth and plenty of offensive depth, just not much when it comes to quality starters.
Agreed.
Lotzkar is the only arm I see in the organization that profiles as a top-of-rotation starter. Daryl Thompson has a very good arm but I see him more as a number three type starter. Travis Wood is still a very good prospect. Jeremy Horst is developing into a very intriguing prospect. Hopefully some kids like Evan Hildenbrandt can continue to develop and maybe Tyler Cline will step up. The good thing is the major league team has two TOR caliber arms in Cueto and Volquez along with a couple solid vets which gives kids like Lotzkar and Hildenbrandt plenty of time to develop on their own timeline.

Ive been saying for years the Reds should take the first 5 picks in the draft yearly and select pitching, I get slapped in the head by you guys everytime I say it.
And take away all the hitting prospects? I kind of like having Jay Bruce. You always need to take the BPA no matter what position they play.
Richar batting 2nd, playing 2nd, for Louisville
Well that was quick Dickerson ejected for arguing balls and strikes
Can't disagree with that. In fairness, though, it should be pointed out that the Reds have three very young starters in their big-league rotation, two of them produced by their system. That speaks somewhat to both the quantity of starters developed and the relative need to develop more. That said, you can never develop too many starting pitchers and the organization surely does need more of the Thompson-Lotzkar variety.
Sarasota is winning 2-0 in the third inning.
Misall DeJesus is perfect through 3.
Frazier is 1-for-1 with a RBI single.
With out going and looking at a bunch of box scores it seems like Frazier is on fire. Could just be me though.
Richaar is batting 3rd and is 0-3 tonight.
