Might be in Houston for the weekend

I'm in Dallas at the moment, but if I don't get a load I'm thinking about heading down to Houston for the weekend. I have relatives in Houston I can stay with and I don't know anyone in Dallas. No brainer. Sleep at the truck stop for the weekend or sleep in the spare bedroom at my wife's uncle's house. Anyway, I see that the Astros are in town and I've never attended a game there, at least not yet. I also seem to remember that we have some folks who live in that area. If I decide to go to a game, probably tomorrow evening or Sunday afternoon, I wouldn't mind the company if any of our Houston area zoners are interested. If so, PM me and I'll send you my cell number.

Ugh. Just missed you (again) ORH. I live in houston now but am in Upstate NY visiting family until next week.

BTW- Minute Maid park is a nice place to watch a game. Sit along the 1st base side if you can, nice view out the "big window" in LF.
Nothing to see here. Please disperse.

Well, you could go to Sam Houston Park in downtown and pay respects to my Dad and the crew of his ship... the USS Houston, sunk by the Japanese in 3/1/42 in Sundra Strait. It's a pink granite obelisk with their names inscribed.

I've seen that, but didn't know about your dad at the time.

Anyway, I am indeed heading to Houston. I should be there in about 45 minutes. I'm going to stop in at my wife's uncle's house (His name is Tom. My wife has an Uncle Tom!) and then head to Minute Maid for the ballgame around 4:00-4:30. Any of you Houston natives want to join me, I'll check in here before I go to the ballpark.
