The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.

    Re: Watchmen Trailer

I saw this last night. Not having read the graphic novel but being a big fan of comic book mythos, I naturally loved it. The opening title sequence is something to behold, perfect choice of images and music. Also it is painful to get so invested in the story, fall in love with Malin Ackerman, and then have to leave her a few hours later and return home to reality. Sigh.

We just got our tickets to IMAX for a 3:40 showing! I'll check in later.

I was pleasently surprised. David Hayter did a good job with the script. He kept much the dialog intact. There was one change at the end of the movie that I felt was a bit silly, but it didn't ruin the film for me. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5.

    Don't take your children, though.

I thought it was really, really good. I had never read the print version, but I still really enjoyed the movie. I am thinking about going a second time.

Just got back, and while I liked it (didn't love it), my wife about killed me for taking her to it. Think twice before you bring your significant other (and definitely, IMO, do not bring your kid if they're young...we saw a few young kids in the theater and a few were removed by their parents...I definitely would have had to do the same).

I tried getting mine to go with me tonight. She politely declined.

I would also agree on not taking the kids. I'm going to try my best not to ruin it for those who haven't seen the movie, but even with the violence and sex scene (one that makes me wonder how some of these movies get R ratings), just the political and idealogical overtones of the movie would make me uncomfortable if I had a child wanting to see this movie. It kinda reminded me of Dark Knight in that regard.

With that out of the way, it was a good movie. You have to really either know the comic book or follow the movie good enough to know what is really going on though. There is so much to keep up with since they retrace all the origins and everything throughout the movie.

Excellent movie. The ending was not exactly true to the original graphic novel, but it was truly a great movie.

    SPOILER LINK!

If you've seen the movie you know how great the opening credits were. Well, now you can re-live them on your computer screen! So perfectly done!

Saw it yesterday. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It has been a very long time (17 years) since I have read the graphic novel.
By the by, the reason they did not end it the way they did in the novel is that because there was a side-story in the novel that would have taken too much time to explain - and the introduction of that element would have been too confusing to viewers.

I heard that the "Tales of the Black Freighter" story will make the Blu-Ray cut, so the squid is in at least later.

(I haven't seen the film yet.)

They took that one down. Here is another one that works (for now).

Saw this last night -- I've never read the graphic novel before (might have to pick that up now), but I was able to follow things well enough.

    The soundtrack was amazing.
