Seriously - that play by Dunn was comical. That was a 1962 Mets play.

    Defense?

    Oh dear lord.

The wheels have not only fallen off but they've been stolen, hocked for crack money and tossed in the city dump.

must be an allergy causing Reds pitchers to leave pitches up and out over the plate ... pitch after pitch right down the middle

This is what happens when you have an awful defense. The inning should have been over at 1-0 and Cueto would have 17 pitches. Instead it's 4-0 and he's at 30 pitches.

More hanging sliders than White Castle.

When do all of the positive vibes from the pre-game players-only meeting kick in?

Isn't there a theory that if you don't have command, you should throw it down the middle because that's the one place it isn't going to go?

This team is just embarrassing to watch. Cueto gets killed by the pathetic defense more than anyone. Yeah the homerun was all him but everything after that could have been avoided with a major league defense behind him.

it's about awful pitching ... Kearns hit was a little lucky(perfectly placed) but that shouldn't cause the pitcher to lose focus and throw belt high pitches down the middle.

    The pitching is beyond bad

A single was hit in front of him and it bounced over his head (would have been easily played, though) for a three-baser.
