Nice to see Maloney back on the mound. He needs to prove his health to enhance the off-season bargaining power at Walt's disposal.

Chattanooga is losing 1-0 after 5 1/2 innings.

    Lecure: 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 1 K

Lots of strong pitching throughout the organization today. Sarasota threw a shutout, GCL Reds threw a shutout, Louisville allowed just one run, Dayton has a shutout through seven, and Chattanooga has allowed one run in five innings.

Chat's offense really struggling. They miss Cumberland at the top?

Billings is tied 3-3 after 7 1/2. Kyle Day is 0-for-4, he entered this game having reach base at least once in all 18 of his professional games.

Re: Sunday August 3rd minor league updates

What an excellent day of pitching from the Reds minor league teams. There were three shutouts, three other games where the opponent was held to one or two runs, and the worst was Billings allowing four runs in a loss.
    I miss Adam Dunn.
