    Photos from Minute Maid

I went to the Astros game last night. Saw a pretty good game all around, Oswalt against Santana. Oswalt didn't look like he usually does against the Reds. Santana looked sharp early on. The Mets had a 4-0 lead and the Astros came back with five runs late to win in extras, pretty entertaining all in all. I took a few photos.

Here's the view from my seat.

    Roy O.

    Santana

    A few random shots

I hate that ballpark. People talk smack about GABP. GABP is classy compared to this place. That entire yard is just one big gimmick.

I like that first shot, ORH. You could do a cool tilt-shift or HDR processing with that!

I like the park. I think all stadiums should have retractable roofs so fans do not have to put up with excessive heat and rain delays.

    ( I'm ducking..... )

Interesting -- reminds me a lot of Miller Park for obvious reasons. I'm not sure if I've ever seen all of the RF bleachers before...
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Baseball inside just doesn't seem right - even with a retractable roof.

I've always thought that, but when it was 105 at gametime it was pretty nice.

5 MLB parks, 6 if you count GABP.
