    Majewski as a starter?

IMO Majik doesn't really have an important future role with our bullpen. Being a fairly hard throwing sinkerballer, what do you all think about converting him to a starter. Early in his minor league career he was a starter and eventually was converted to a reliever. To me he could maybe turn into a decent 5th starter on our club because of his groundball numbers in our ballpark, and if he doesn't turn out he is easily replaceable in the pen' or could just be used as a long man.

No way his arm holds up to be a starter. He's had arm trouble in the past so it's safe to say he's a bull pen guy the rest of his career.

Outside of his shoulder issues at the time of "the trade" what other kind of injury history does he have?

I believe he'd never have been converted to a reliever to begin with if he could hack it even as a 5th starter. This guy is pyrite in its purest form, no two ways around it.

I hear on 70's night Majewski is going to wear some of those old black-rimmed glasses.

I think it might be worth a shot, but I doubt he will ever get the chance here.

To be honest, i would rather the Reds move Bray into the rotation. He has better stuff, and when he was drafted, scouts thought he could be either a starter or reliever.

I would give Bray another 1 or 2 season's in the pen first, he is still pretty young. But then if he doesn't get things turned around, especially against lefties it would be worth a shot. The thing with Majik in my opinion is you aren't losing anything and you don't have to pencil him into a spot, start him in AAA with it and see how he progresses or doesn't.

confirms that the griffey lovers dont know or watch much baseball.

Did you even watch any games last year.

Do you ever watch majewskie pitch this year.

The guy is terrible. By far the worst pitcher in our pen and you want to convert him to a starter.

There is a reason most relievers are in the pen to begin with, they don't have the stuff to be good starting pitchers. Instead they are asked to give it their all for a few innings.

If he doesnt have a future role in our bullpen then why would he make a good starter?

Yeah I have watched, thats why i said he has little future in our bullpen. However he is a low 90's sinkerballer. Sinkerballers pitch better when their arm is not full strength, because they get more action on their pitches. Majik in the pen is full strength when he comes in and knows he only has an inning or 2. Almost has a 2:1 gb to fb ratio this year, and a decent amount of k's. What do we have to lose? A filler in the bullpen? Odds are it won't work, but it might be worth a look.
