He didn't chase it intentionally... it was a check swing.

Reds catch a break on the ground rule double... Run scores easy if it doesn't bounce over...

Patterson with a good catch to end the inning and save Cueto from blowing the lead.

    4-3 Reds

Wonderful catch by C. Patterson jumping against the center field wall to save a couple runs.

Reds up 4-3 after 5. Cueto likely done at 109 pitches.

Nice catch by Patterson to bail out Cueto and let him finish 5 innings with a 4-3 lead.

Gotta' give credit when it's earned.

Terrific catch by CP in centerfield. That one play lets Cueto end his night with a decent line. Too bad CP's offense isn't up to par.

A guy with Patterson's D and a good stick would cost some serious coin.

CP can go and get it. Which is the only reason he is a major leaguer.

Seriously- he is the best fielder the Reds have had in CF since Mike Cameron left here.

    I know, I know, he can't hit a lick...

    He'd be Carlos Beltran.

Shoot, he runs circles around Beltran's D at this stage in their careers. More like career peak Jim Edmonds.

Yeah... but Patterson can't throw 30 feet on a line... that is part of defense isn't it? shew, should've been 2!
