Seriously though Herrera has given up seven home runs in almost 200 professional innings. Makes me sad when the Majewskis and Coffeys of the world get called up before he does.
Chalk me up as another Herrera admirer. I just really like the notion of a guy who offers something different, not to mention the guile implied in the package. Maybe it's because I go back to the Stu Millers of the world. And I'd think it would be especially effective these days, with all the emphasis on smoke-throwing, macho-man relievers.
It might be overkill, but wouldnt we be better off just seeing what guys like rosales, hanigan, herrera, dickerson, and maloney can all do as starters right now. I mean, its not like were in a playoff race or anything.
