"At Votto's request, the reason was not revealed."
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

In the process, removing Marcus McBeth from the 40-man roster, designating him for assignment.

Plenty of people get kicked on a daily basis around here.

I've forgotten exactly but isn't the bereavment list only good for three or four days? Why do I expect Rosales to be kept when Votto comes back and see Jerry Hairston put on the 15 day DL after being used as a pinch hitter the day before?

Am I just being too cynical?

Does anyone know if Rosales has made it to the park? It sure would have been more interesting to see him rather than Valentin.
The lowest acceptable payroll amount for ownership to show they are not greedy pigs is 15 million more than they are currently paying. No matter what that currently is.

You taking a shot at Krivsky? Now I've seen it all!

I can't figure out for the life of me why Krivsky, to some, is so untouchable around here. We can have thread after thread about Baker, Bowden, O'Brien and anyone else. But when it comes to Wayne, it's almost as if I am speaking negatively about Mother Teresa.
