    Arch from "Arches National Park" in Utah Collapses

    Very sad. I've been there a few times. One of the most beautiful places in the country. It will still be beautiful, but it will definitely be weird not seeing the arch.

    I was there in January 2007. That whole area is very special.

    IIRC, the Landscape Arch also lost a chunk in 1992.

    Wow... that's a bummer, I love that place, it's in my a top 2 biking destinations too.

    If you haven't ever read Edward Abbey's Desert Solitaire book of essays ( partially written while working there in the 60's) pick it up, it's a great book about a magical area.
