Chattanooga is winning game one 1-0 after a 1/2 inning on a Justin Turner solo homerun.

Lookouts take a 2-1 lead on a Turner RBI single. Bases loaded nobody out for Dorn.
    They leave them loaded. 2-1

Daryl Thompson is starting tonight for Sarasota as he continues his rehab. I guess Dallas Buck will have to wait until tomorrow to make his Reds organizational debut.

Well, that pretty much sucked by Thompson. I don't know what to make of it. I guess we leave him down there and let him get a few more starts in before the season is over.

It's stuff like this why you don't bring a guy up a level too early. You take a chance on going one step forward, but if you are wrong, it's two steps back. Hopefully this won't happen to Stubbs.

I think Thompson will be alright next year, though, whatever results happen the rest of this year. They shut him down before any damage physically could be done.

How did Thompson's level cause his injury? Just curious.

I asked that same question earlier. I was told he tried to do to much/reached back for something extra in the bigs. I personally don't buy that. A guy trying to get to the show is going to exert just as much as a guy in the show...just my opinion.

That's pretty how much how he injured his shoulder a few years ago--he tried to reach back for something extra, and then he couldn't finish the season.

It was covered pretty well in the other thread. Can't find it for you right now, though.

Bottom line is that he's OK and next year will begin in the minors again in an attempt to spend one more full season there hopefully. That should complete both his minor league eduacation and his rehab from the surgery. His arm should be ready for him to be a starter in the Majors after next season.

Anyone else watching the Bats game?

Its making my head hurt right now. The video is squeezed to fit about 1/3 of the screen....
