He wasn't setting the world on fire at High A, but some smart person knew that it was time to move him up the chain. Reds should keep whomever made that call.
Stubbs knows how to make a debut.
Might just be that WJ knows a little about things like when to move players. Maybe he watches development instead of focusing just on the season's numbers as if an ab in April is as meaningful for a developing minor leaguer as one in Aug.
If Stubbs can put things together, he can make a lot of lost time go away fast.
