While I know that the 1990 Reds swept the A's in 1990, I can't immediately bring the scores of that series to mind. The difference for me is that I grew up rooting for, and idolizing, the members of the 1975-76 Reds, whereas by 1990 I was in my 30's, older than most of the players. I was, and still am, a Reds fan, but not like I was in my youth.
Yeah I definitely hear you there. I was 9 in 1990, which I think is just about the right age for that sort of remembrance.
