They even said we would have trouble signing him..really why would you draft him? great talent, but useless if you cant have him....maybe something will get done...lets hope!

We gave pre-pubescent teens Juan Duran and Yorman Rodriguez $2 mil. each, then offered $5 mil. for 16 year old Michael Inoa. I'm glad they're looking to spend some money in the Dominican, but why must it be at the expense of our #1 draft pick. Alonso's supposed to be close to major league ready, those 2 kids certainly aren't. They knew what he was asking for going in, now get the deal done.
I have a theory that says they didn't like anybody that was available, so they took the one guy they knew wouldn't sign, so they could get the pick again next year.Originally Posted by levydl
