You act as if Cordero is the worst pitcher in baseball. Newsflash: he's a good pitcher. He's got a 3.64 ERA, 9.94 K/9, and .679 OPS against. Plenty of teams would love to have that.

Cordero is the Reds' pitcher I'd *least* like to have in there with the bases loaded and Pujols at the dish. The guy's got the yips. I don't know how else to explain it.

    After 7 innings:

    Reds 6, Cards 0

    Volquez 97 pitches, 58 strikes.
Lohse out of the game, with a 6 inning quality start.
Garcia in for the Cards; 14 pitches, 2 outs, and gives up 3 runs. See, when we get into the middle relief corps of opposing teams, we can score. This happened because we got Lohse's pitch count high enough that he only lasted 6.
Franklin in with 2 outs: 10 pitches, 7 strikes.

Volquez goes 7, gives up 3 hits and 0 runs.

    Yeah, that'll work

Volquez's day is done. Good move to pull him. He lowered his ERA from 2.86 to 2.73.

Nowadays this team is Volquez, then...well, Volquez.

Good players tend to. I know that probably rubs some the wrong way....

(and before this turns into a Dunn shouting match, Dunn hustled; others, well, others didn't).

That Cubs series is going to be tough...

Harden, Lily, Big Z vs Cueto, Arroyo, Harang*

David Weathers retired the first two and then allows a single, walk, RBI single.
