    After 6 innings:

    Reds 3, Cards 0

    Volquez 80 pitches, 49 strikes
    Lohse 115 pitches, 74 strikes.

25 pitch inning there for Volquez, but two nice Ks to work out of a bases loaded jam.

On the Phillips pickoff, it looked to me like a balk. Lohse had his leg raised and moved toward the plate....

Eric Davis...now he could steal some bases.

They should hire him as base stealing coach...

No. Kepp had 3 RBIs on August 8th against Houston, and 1 RBI on the 14th against Pittsburgh.

Two outs and nobody on for the pinch hitter.

1-2 count on Lopez and hit him. One strike from a 1-2-3 inning. Hopefully that doesn't come back and bite him.

Seven shutout innings from Volquez on 97 pitches. I'd pull him. Hopefully the offense can score a couple more runs and leave no doubt.
