    Pitchers Per Plate Appearance

During the telecast tonight they flashed a stat showing the top 3 teams in the NL in pitches per plate appearance. It was Arizona, Florida, and the Cubs. All 3 have winning records and are in the playoff hunt. Shocking news in the world of Dusty Baker.

Is that before, or after they got the "Patient Donkey" ?

I think Hank Aaron said it was just rude to make the pitcher pitch too much.

I think that in a year or two, one of these guys - Frazier, Dorn, Valaika, Cumberland, Stubbs - will be ready to replace Dunn. They won't hit as many home runs as Dunn, but they should have similar OPS. - 757690, July 22, 2008

Alonso will be playing 1B for the REDS and batting 4th one year from today. - Kingspoint, July 9, 2009
