Reds defense making Volquez look bad yet again. Worst defense in MLB.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

The entire "official scorer" business is just plain annoying. It's almost entirely political, meant to protect certain guys' stats rather than reflect the reality of what happened on a given play.

No errors so Volquez gets the earned runs while the fielders don't get any errors.

Poor base running and the Reds escape.

Where was Zito at to cover 3B?

Looking at it again - it wasn't Zito's fault since he was running toward 1B. Looks like the catcher should have ran down the line to cover 3B.

Dickerson is striking out one in three at bats. That's not an acceptable level. Hope he makes some contact here.

Darn it guys! Why don't you all come into chat so I don't have to bounce back and forth? I'm getting dizzy.
