Real pitchers duel we have today. Fogg with over 7 ERA and Gorzalanny with over a 6 ERA. With that said it will probably be 1-0 game.

This may very well be Fogg's last start, given that it's highly likely that Matt Maloney and/or Homer Bailey will be coming up in a few days.

Fogg promptly hits the leadoff hitter.

Gorzelanny doesn't have good numbers overall, but he did pitch very well against the Reds back in April (6.1 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 1 K). His next start against us, he didn't last the first inning (0.2 IP, 4 H, 6 ER, 2 BB).

That's long overdue. I could argue he shouldn't have gotten a first start...

...but that would be piling on....

And now the second batter, noted slugger Chris Gomez, smacks a single. Two on, nobody out.

Fogg then issues a four-pitch walk to No. 3 hitter Doug Mientkiewicz, a noted slugger with all of two home runs in 2008. Bases loaded.

    Re: bucs @ Reds 9/4/08

Noted slugger and cleanup batter Jason Michaels, hitting .230 with eight homers, steps in.

Seriously, there is all of one hitter worth a damn in this lineup- McLouth. That's really it.

Michaels pops up to short center, one out.
