So will accept a 6 or 7 million a year contract from the Snakes or will he sign with one of the large market teams for 12 or 13 mil?

Talk is cheap. He won't sign for close to that little.

He probably is tired of losing.... but a winner is going to offer him a lot more than 6 or 7 million bucks.

Yep. Maybe he will take some deferred money.
It's absolutely pathetic that people can't have an opinion from actually watching games and supplementing that with stats. If you voice an opinion that doesn't fit into a black/white box you will get completely misrepresented and basically called a tobacco chewing traditionalist...

Just going by what Buster Olney said.

ESPN's Trade Deadline show. They were discussing the lack of interest in Dunn....his flaws, not knowing where he really fits in the order, the money involved...etc. Buster Olney said, "I talked to one GM today that said he wouldn't give Dunn more than a one or two year deal at 5-million a year when he becomes a free agent this offseason."

I believe that, but that still leaves 29 other GM's or maybe even 30 by the time Dunn gets to FA that are likely to give Dunn a much better deal than that.

I believe that Haren has already signed a further extension that puts him with the Diamondbacks for a least 4 more years.

And actually, Dunn never really says he will accept less money. I believe the quote was "The money, it will be there. I want to win", actually suggests he can have both. And maybe with a Diamondbacks team that struggles to stay above .500.
