Sucks, looks like the Bats are going to get screwed, with no help from a ridiculous random home field advantage setup. Why they get 3 home games to the Bats 2, when the Bats have the better record is ridiculous.

Janish K's. Louisville loses 3-2 and trails the best of five series two games to one.

Re: Saturday September 6th minor league playoff updates

Here are some interesting stats about Billings and their opponent Great Falls in their head-to-head matchups. GF batters had an average 29 points higher (.267 to .238), hit more HRs (11 to 8), scored more runs (76 to 65) and stole more bases (15 to 5). GF pitchers had an ERA nearly 3/4 of a run lower (3.71 to 4.40), had more Ks (139 to 122) and fewer BBs (47 top 52). Despite GF leading in all those statistical categories, they split the season series at 8 games apiece. Go figure.

The field is almost ready to go in Billings. First pitch in a few minutes. Fun fact of the day, Billings and Great Falls are the two franchises with the most titles in Pioneer League history. Billings has won the title a record 10 times, Great Falls is next with seven.

The first four weren't in the Pioneer League, 1972 was their first season in the Pioneer, at least according to the radio announcers. Whom to believe, I'll leave that up to everyone else. Leonardo Astorga got a quick 1-2-3 first for the Mustangs.

Mustangs return the favor and go down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 1st, with a pair of Ks.

After starting the inning with a K, Astorga gets into a little bit of trouble with a couple of singles. Astorga digs down and responds with a pair of Ks to end the inning. No score, middle 2nd.

David Sappelt led off with a double. After an out Tyler Stovall comes through with a hit. The throw home wasn't in time. The return to second was to get Stovall out, but the damage is done. 1-0 Billings.

Billings gets a walk but nothing else. After two:

    GF 0 2 0
    BIL 1 2 0
