Who's it going to be? Who's going to come up tomorrow so Dusty can sit them?

Exactly. It doesn't really matter. They'll sit and waste away while they are here,

My best guess: Homer Bailey, Todd Coffey, Danny Ray Herrera, Adam Rosales, Paul Janish, and Danny Richar. Daryl Thompson may get a call too but they may decide to just shut him down which is what I would do.

I'd like to see Herrera up. I liked what I saw of him and the Reds need another (young) lefty in the pen for next year.
We can talk about sitting guys, but we've just named eight or nine players - you can't divide playing time up that much. Some folks are going to sit and have very isolated playing time. That's just the way it goes this time of year, IMO.

The guys on the 40 man. No one else.

I expect mostly pitchers. Hell, put Stubbs in CF or RF, and Patterson on the bench. Stubbs, Dickerson, Bruce...do it.

I don't know how that stuff works....I guess I should read up on it
Whoever it is, position player, starter, or reliever, none of them will get more playing time than Jolbert Cabrera, Josh Fogg, or Gary Majewski.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
Aside from the roster protection factor, I want to protect the value of Stubbs by not bringing him up. He's just had a pretty successful run in AA and AAA after leaving the FSL. That could really add to his value if the Reds decided to add him as part of a trade this offseason. If he comes up here and hits below the Patterson Line for the rest of the month, some of that value dissipates.
