    In 1965, I had a ton of Mickey Mantle's cards and a ton of the Senators' Howie Koplitz cards. I hated the Yankees and threw Mickey's cards in the trash. I kept the Koplitz cards...in retrospect...

    Some of my favorite cards in my collection:









    My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

    I don't know how to post images but IMO the 89 Upper Deck Griffey Jr. changed baseball cards. Being in grade school in the 90's this was the hottest card of its day. I remember the day when I would go to a card shop and the card would price for over $100.

    Saving to buy this card and then watching it increase in value during my teens was a great source of pride for me. Should have sold high.
