Still have an album and a few of the sticker books.
I don't remember Wheaties ever having sports cards in my lifetime.
When I was a kid, I had way too many cards of this guy:
Coincidentally, some years later, I wound up going to the same school in Chicago that his daughter attended.
sorry we're boring
.
I still remember reading a Sport magazine article about Greg Cook ordering a "GC 2" vanity license plate and and making his own "1" with electrical tape
(The "GC 12" plate was already taken)
It's funny what we can still remember from when we were 10 years old
Then there was the letter from a female reader of Ball Four to Bouton that he shared in his sequel "I'm Glad You Didn't Take it Personally" The quote was something to the affect of "Thanks for telling everyone that ML ballplayers are not heroes on Wheatie's boxes but just men, and horny men at that!"
Never overlook the obvious
Here is a cool blog. All Reds cards all the time.

"Sit over here next to Johnathan (Bench)...sit right here, he's smart."--Sparky Anderson
There is also a 1969 card in which the Angels' third baseman Aurelio Rodriguez slipped batboy Leonard Garcia (who didn't really look much like Rodriguez) in to pose for his card.
Also, the classic 1964 Dave Bennett card which had this blurb on the backside, "The 19-year-old righthanded curveballer is just 18 years old!"
"I am your child from the future. I'm sorry I didn't tell you this earlier." - Dylan Easton
I always liked the 1989 Donruss Andy Nezelek card which according to his birth date printed on the back he was only 3 years old at the time.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!
The only 3-D cards that I can find are from Kelloggs, and a set of 3-D football cards that were put out by the NFL Players Association. I have a complete set of Kelloggs 3-D cards from 1970 which includes both Jimmy Wynn and Willie Mays. They have the team name, players last name, and position in a baseball in the upper right hand corner of the card. One of my favorite sets of cards.
