Jose Canseco was never as bad as Jay Bruce. What's his problem?

10 errors by a Right Fielder in half a season?

What's this kid's problem? Is he smokin' dope or something?

He doesn't even face the sun in Right Field.

    And it's mostly his throws?

He's so horrible, he needs to spend this Winter in an instructional League....badly. I hope he doesn't think that he's a prima-donna and that he doesn't need it.

His fast rise through the system forgot to teach him the fundamentals of Defense.

That was a very ill-advised throw he made to first base today, and his error total tells us he's done that sort of thing before. His youth shows. But he saved the game with a diving catch Monday night and he saved another game with a tough catch going back on the ball Tuesday night. With another right fielder, both of those games could well have been lost.

We should DFA him, he has no future.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

In 40 years I've never seen a Right Fielder make this many errors.

As you pointed out, these are mental errors, not physical ones.

If only this were true, then we'd have a lot of issues solved. Unfortunately, pretty much ALL diagnosis and prognosis points to him projecting to RF.

I think that in a year or two, one of these guys - Frazier, Dorn, Valaika, Cumberland, Stubbs - will be ready to replace Dunn. They won't hit as many home runs as Dunn, but they should have similar OPS. - 757690, July 22, 2008

Alonso will be playing 1B for the REDS and batting 4th one year from today. - Kingspoint, July 9, 2009

10 mental errors in half a season by a right fielder is no joke.

Why is he making so many errors?

He needs to take more vitamins to help his brain power and concentration?

he tried to pick off a runner with the pitcher at the plate, he is probably brain dead, in addition counsell is a great base runner it is a low yield high risk play something characteristic of the stupidity of this organization chiefly manifersted in a functionally retarded manager

An expert, you're not. It might take you another 40 years to learn something.

I think Bruce's mistakes probably error more on the side of aggressiveness than poor fielding. He needs to be smarter, that's all. He will learn.

A quote from the numbnuts file.

Instead of calling someone stupid, Numbnuts, why don't you come up with an answer like ChatterRed did?

Put the bong away and use your brain.

What on earth would make you say something like that?

That's a complete 180 from everything we've seen and heard from Bruce.

Stuff like this makes Sun Deck unbearable. You had a good point up until that comment. But that gives it away that you're just trolling.

Anyway, I don't think he needs an instructional league. I didn't hear about a lot of throwing errors in the minors, so it's probably just a fluke or something. Maybe concentration, like ChatterRed said.
