    WP: Tom Browning (16-5)
    LP: Tim Belcher (10-5)
    HR: None.

Tom Browning pitched the only perfect game in Reds history in this game. Browning recorded 7 K's in the game, including pinch-hitter Tracy Woodson for the 27th and final out. Browning threw 102 pitches--72 strikes and only 30 balls. The time of the game was 1:51. Tim Belcher pitched a complete-game three-hitter with 7 K's in a losing effort for the Dodgers. The only hits for the Reds were a two-out double by Barry Larkin in the fifth, followed by an infield single by Chris Sabo with Larkin scoring on a throwing error by Dodgers 3B Jeff Hamilton, and a two-out single by Ron Oester in the eighth. I remember listening to this game. It was a Friday night, and I had gome to the local high-school football game. When the game was over, I went to my car and turned on the radio to try to catch a final score ofthe Reds game. To my surprise, Browing was just getting ready to throw the first pitch! The had been a 2-hour, 27-minute rain delay! I thought, "Wow, it sure was nice of them to wait until I could listen before they started the game. I bet something special is going to happen tonight!" Little did I know....
