    Who's Your Adopted Playoff Team?

The playoffs are upon us yet again. It's a fun time of year for baseball fans. Of course, it would be much more fun with the Reds being involved, but that is obviously not the case.

So the question is this: Who is your adopted playoff team?

Who will you follow and root for over the next month?

My vote (and I'm sure many will feel the same way) goes to the White Sox. I want so badly for Junior to get the ring that he so greatly deserves. This may very well be his last chance to get it.

So, who will you be rooting for?

    Jr. and the Sox.

Although I won't be upset if Torre wins with LA to stick it to the Steinbrenners.

I feel like it *should* be the Rays (how can anyone root against them?), but I have a soft spot for the White Sox that is only getting softer with Griffey on the team. Love Konerko, love Thome, love Jenks, love love love Mark Buehrle. And let's not forget my favorite player in baseball, Javier Vazquez.

And I'll probably get weepy when I see Torre managing the Dodgers too.

Can you add an option for "anybody but the Cubs"?

    No kidding.

It's the White Sox for me too, thanks to Griffey. Although part of me wants to see Ozzie Guillen suffer. Is that wrong?

    Ditto

Seeing Jr. advance to the playoffs is the best feeling I have had this late in a baseball season in quite some time!!

    Amen.

I'd say the White Sox just cause of Jr. then the Rays.

1st - Who ever is playing the Cubs
2nd - Philly my home away from home
3rd - White Sox in a very close race for 2nd because of Jr.
4th - Dodgers ONLY for the Torre/Yankee's thing
    5th - Tampa
In those things which we commit to practice we can master, and with mastery we have the freedom to use these skills whenever we desire, without this practice we are slaves to our inability.

I will say this for the Cubs....I am rooting for a White Sox/Cubs World Series.

I'd love to see the Cubs get just on the cusp of ending the curse and then have it taken away from them and what better team to take it away from them than thier crosstown rivals?

    That would be sweet.

Anaheim is a personal fav - great team built from the ground up with probably the best owner in baseball - I'll cheer for them but I'd love to see Tampa stick it to all of the AL and go to the Series.

I have zero warm fuzzies about any of the NL teams. I'm cheering for ties and rainouts.

That would get my vote. I swear, if the Cubs win the World Series I might never follow baseball again for as long as I live. Next to a Reds World Series, the Cubs NOT winning a World Series is what I wish for most.
