Bowling Green, KY minor league team...

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if there's any new information out there about new minor league team in BG..like if they know who they are affiliated with or if there is any website or any way to contact them because I am graduating from Uninversity of Louisville this year with my degree in Sports Management and just wanted to inquire about a possible job. Thank you

What if this wasn't a rhetorical question?

The Rays always have a great farm system. The #1 overall pick in the 2008 draft, Tim Beckham, will probably begin 2009 in Bowling Green.
    I miss Adam Dunn.

You can find job openings listed at this website.

    http://southatlanticleague.teamworko...bs/jobsall.cfm

Hiring is done through the South Atlantic League offices. There were 5 or 6 Bowling Green jobs listed a few months ago, but they are no longer listed and I know they have hired quite a few people already.

From everything I've heard you roughly are a jack of all trades with these positions. You might be the marketing manager, plus you sell popcorn, sweep the floors, and wear the mascot costume (which better not be the Cave Shrimp!). All this while you work an 8 hour day and then stay until well after the last out on home nights.

The Bowling Green team will be holding a special press conference/ceremony at 6pm (central) on Monday, Oct 27th to officially announce the team name, logo, colors, etc. There will be refreshments and the opportunity to purchase the first team gear. Jharb74.....get ready to stock up on Cave Shrimp stuff! :

I have been working in Minor League Baseball for 5 years down in Daytona Beach with the Daytona Cubs. As mentioned we sell advertising, flip hamburgers, clean the stadium, and work ridiculous long hours for low pay...but man do i love my job!

I went to a Bowling Green Hot Rods game last night. They played the Rome Braves and lost 11-2. Their ballpark is wonderful and the wife and I had a great time. I took a few pictures of Tim Beckham and the field as well and I'll post them sometime soon.

I'll be going back as soon as time allows. The attendance was 5209 which is amazing to me. There were over 3500 there on Friday too.

I don't know where you are, but I can say that if you are in Cincinnati or close that I wouldn't drive all that way to go. It was fun and it's only 30 minutes from my house, but it's not worth driving 3 hours or so.

If you do decide to go anyway, let me know.
