You are right.
Roane State who? Now their name is in the news (and on RZ!). More high school seniors will know the name and might visit and/or apply to be a student there. More people might buy tickets to see the old-timer "play" hoops. Marketing. The good (getting free publicity) and the bad (73 and "playing" with/against real athletes).
"Alright, boys. Tighten those belts around your barely-bigger-than-briefs uniform shorts and listen up. Today I'm going to teach you the finer points on how to execute a set shot."
I thought RFS played golf, not basketball....
