Deep Rising. I must have watched that movie a hundred times. Just a really good B movie in the classic sense. I am still waiting for the sequel.

Bahd Spenzah ent Tayrenz Hill zin voi zoopah! When I was over there, it seemed like RTL and SAT1 had their regular Friday/Saturday movie nights featuring a Spencer/Hill early show followed by a Russ Meyer late movie.

Actually, I found English language movies dubbed in German to be very funny. Forrest Gump was particularly good. "Lauf, Forrest, Lauf!"

So many Germans act like I can't possibly be American because I don't like Spencer & Hill. Half of them refuse to believe me when I tell them that those two aren't Americans and are actually Italians.

I once saw "The Last Emperor" dubbed in German (Der Letzte Kaiser). Chinese people mouthing English words, dubbed in German. It was a bit surreal.

The only movie I ever saw in the US involving either of those guys was "Superfuzz" starring Terence Hill, only because it was on HBO a million times in the '80s. Of course, I lived in Salzburg and the Austrians couldn't quite understand the fascination Americans had with "The Sound of Music." We actually had to rent it and show it to them because most had never seen it.

On the 5th. How appropriate. I saw it while I was sitting in Orlando waiting on my van to be repaired. Kind of disturbing in a way, but quite good.
