I am a big movie buff. Most of the stuff I watch over and over tends to be pre 1975 horror & pre CGI action. I can't stand dramas. Comedies tend to be hit or miss. I do tend to like the goofy ones (Airplane, Top secret,

-Predator
-Mad max 2 (Road warrior)
-Aliens
-Diehard
-Lots of Jackie Chan & Sammo Hung's Hong Kong flicks. They did some amazing stunts in these flicks
-Akira Kurosawa's samurai flicks (Seven samurai, Ran)
-Pre 1975 Godzilla & other Japanese 'giant monster' flicks
-Everything starring Paul Naschy. He is a Spaniard who made a ton of cheesey horror movies in the 1970s.
- Everything directed by Mario Bava & Dario Argento (Italian horror/suspense flicks)
- Everything by Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Mimic, Pan's Labrynth)
- Big trouble in little china, Halloween, Escape from New York & most of John Carpenter's flicks
- The 1930s-1940s Universal monster movies
- The 1950s-1970s British horror films starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee
- The 1960s Vincent Price horror flicks
-Certain fun 1908s horror flicks: Night of the comet, return of the living dead, fright night, night of the creeps, the blob remake,
-Sean Connery & Pierce Brosnan BOND movies

I really enjoyed the movie, but I think I know what you mean. I don't want to say it dragged at any point, but there were a few moments that had me thinking, "Couldn't they have found a better way of doing this?" It was a pretty simple plot, overall, but I think they over-elaborated some less-needed parts and under-elaborated some of the more important ones.I found that movie to be too "crowded", hard to follow.
I remember when I was a senior in high school, the movie Poltergeist was on cable *constantly*. And often I watched it. Pretty entertaining stuff.

Movies like the Prestige and Illusionist were movies that I thoroughly enjoyed that were somewhat similar. I really loved the Prestige. Every time I've watched it I see things that went on that lead me to a different interpretation.
I think 3:10 To Yuma was that way too.

I really love both of these movies, of course I am big fans of Paul Giamatti and Christian Bale also.
Which makes me think of another one to put on my list. I never get tired of watching Sideways which has become one of my all-time favorites. Can't believe I didn't think of it before.

I don't like re-watching most movies. Just get bored. A few however I do watch a lot. Ten Commandments. I see Charlton Heston when I read the OT. The Outlaw Josey Wales. Dunno why really. But I love it. The Wizard of Oz. Okay, I'm an old goof. Heidi. The Shirley Temple version. I still can't understand how they could take her from her grandfather! The Lord of the Rings. I can watch it start to finish if I have a full day with nothing to do. The extended version. I've read and re-read the books, and watched and re-watched the movies. Now if they could do The Sword of Shannara Series the same kind of justice.
