    Strange Behavior (aka Dead Kids)

    Strange Behavior (1981)

An old low budget horror flick that came out on dvd this year.
Small town with odd goings on in the psychology department of the local college. It was a great little movie. Interesting premise. Good direction.
Nice ensemble cast. You wouldn't recognize the names but lots of the faces are familiar. The characters were very three dimensional.
    Very nice stylish death scenes.

    Grade: A

    Amélie

French film with some really good performances. I enjoyed it.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

This is one of my favorite movies. I forgot to put it on the 'movies you could watch over and over' list.

I own this movie, and I've never seen it.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

I saw Synecdoche, New York twice this week. The first movie Charlie Kaufman (writer, Eternal Sunshine, Adaptation, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind) has directed. Easily one of the most complex movies I've seen in a while and definitely demands two viewings. It can be incredibly hard to follow and you can leave scratching your head, but there are some very poignant scenes and also some very funny one but definitely a very thought provoking movie.

But it's Charlie Kaufman so I guess all that was to be expected.

    El espiritu de la colmena

Quite interesting and intriguing focused on post-Civil War Spain in the 1940s. The movie has allegorical references with Frankenstein (Franco), however, it is one of those movies that has to be so subtle in it's references that you may need to watch it twice. Very little dialouge and many abstract ideas to be able to make itself a thought-provoking cinema during Franco's regime. A-

I saw "Quantum of Solace" with my wife and two of my sons Saturday, and I watched the "Get Smart" DVD with my 11 year old yesterday. I didn't like QOS as much as I hoped and I liked Get Smart more than I expected to.

Watched "Dan In Real Life" on DVD on Friday. It was mildly entertaining.

Mostly, I liked watching Juliette Binoche even though her role wasn't anything special.

I don't know why Brosnan was axed as Bond. He isn't that old.
The first Craig Bond film was kinda weak. watch Bond play poker!
I'll probably see QOS on dvd. a friend of mine is a big Bond nut and i'll borrow the dvd from him.

The wife dragged me to Twilight, Friday Night. If you are a teenage girl this is probably a great movie. But for anyone else, not so much.

I loved this movie. It's about as original as a romantic comedy gets.

Saw QoS on Friday and really liked it. It's probably the first Bond film I've watched in a while, so maybe I have a warped perspective. But I really liked this one.

Saw Twilight on Sunday, like the books, I think good, not obsession worthy. My wife strenuously objects.

"oh well if you strenuously object I guess I'll have to reconsider."
